God’s Peace Is Your Answer
Published on: June 25, 2024

I find a greater desire than ever to get God’s Word inside me. I learn best by reading things out loud & then writing the overall concept in fewer words. Today I wrote out the book of Colossians because I loved what I read yesterday in Col 3:15. In this verse the Apostle Paul exhorts us to let the Peace of God be our answer.

“And let the peace from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts (deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise your minds, in that peaceful state) to which as (members of Christ’s) one body you were also called (to live.) And be thankful (appreciative), (giving praise to God always.)” AMPC

In one of his study guides, Kevin Zadai says “As you make your request known to God, God’s peace will come in as an umpire and rule your world. His peace calls the shots, and that peace is your answer.”

That’s so good! An umpire rules. He has the authority to decide a question between parties. If you are tossed to and fro, or fretting, ask the Holy Spirit to have God’s peace make the call here. See what thoughts accompany feelings of peace. Such thoughts will line up with the Word of God.

We have two take-aways today! Let God’s peace be your umpire and then be thankful!
