Hi You Loved Ones
“I sit on my favourite rock, looking over the brook, to take time away from busyness, time to BE. I’ve long since stopped feeling guilty about taking BEing time; it’s something we all need for our spiritual health, and often we don’t take enough of it.”
From “Walking on Water” by Madeline L’Engle.
As I read this paragraph the longing to actually BE hit me. This is the power of the spoken and written word, especially when it is fueled by the Holy Spirit of God.
I know that BEing is the best place to experience and live. Life-giving, calming shalom flows from this place. I do not do it enough. I see this now, Lord. This is why you have writers write, and artists paint and dancers dance! It awakens in Your Beloved the longing to experience Your Presence.
It makes us want to “go there.”
Take time to BE. Ask God to help you. That’s what I’m going to do.
