Good Morning You Who Celebrate Jesus!
What I hear this morning is the word “compassion”.
We have all known family members and acquaintances who do not have relationship with Jesus. We pray for them and try to show by example what He is like. What more is needed?
We need to intercede for them with the compassion and longing that the Lord feels for them.
“Com” means “with.” We are to pray WITH PASSION for everyone. It comes from the Latin, “to sympathize, to bear, suffer.” So the emotion that must be ground into and then freed up within us is the compassion of Jesus. This is more than just caring about people. It is a deep grinding that comes up from our bowels. We just desire so much for others to see the beauty of our Savior! We experience their lack of connection with Him because indeed we have been there. The difference we now know with Him is indescribable.
This is the ministry of the Holy Spirit. He brings us to this place. I am seeing it unfold daily, with momentum. Cry out to Him for this miraculous maturity!
Smith Wigglesworth raised several people from the dead. What he said was that every night the Lord had to “mow him down” with compassion until he moved in miracles. This is where we shift into being “chosen” from being “called.”
Church, this is where the mountains move.
