Good Morning Beloved
I like to pray for a while before I send anything out. What came to me this morning was the importance of discernment.
When we discern we recognize or identify something as separate and distinct. We are able to discriminate right from wrong, for example. Sometimes the knowing is immediate and other times we come to know something, like discerning someone’s motives behind their behaviors or speech.
The Bible might use terms like apprehend, behold, comprehend, decode, grasp this, perceive. In other words, we “get it.”
For example, a compliment may be sincere or it may be flattery. I can feel the slime on that spirit of flattery. Maybe you do too. I do not feel the human being is slimy, but they are affected by that thing.
There are many humanistic beliefs in the world today, which simply carry the reasoning of man without God’s truth. Many people follow the broad way with what man says. Remember the fairy tale of the emperor with no clothes on! He was deceived into believing that he was wearing a gorgeous outfit when in REALITY he was parading around before his subjects in his underwear. Only a little child shouted out, “but the emperor has no clothes on!”
Jesus is not confused. REALITY IS HIS. We must become like a child, depend on Him, spend time in His presence and in His Word and we won’t be mixed up either.
