Holy Spirit often says the word “reality” to me. He is emphasizing that HIS is the only reality we need to attend to. It is not easy to do in this chaotic realm but it is possible or He would not exhort us to keep our minds focused on Him.

The reason we need the armor of God is because it gives us strength to withstand the super human powers that come against us. We cannot come against them on our own. The chief way the Lord’s might comes through is via our earnest prayers.

Though the cosmic powers exert themselves over this present darkness, The Lord has already “disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame by triumphing over them in Him.” (Col 2:15 and Eph 1:19-21)

We cannot depend upon our human resources. We must take upon ourselves the entire armor of God. When we put on the belt, breastplate, shoes, shield, helmet and sword those resources are, in order, the truth, righteousness, the gospel, faith, salvation and the Word of God. We become equipped with God’s own character and are able to move forward!

We can stand in His armor, in the power of HIS might no matter what.

Put Him on every day. Then stand.
