The Words Of Jesus
Published on: May 19, 2023

At our Bible study provided by Kevin Zadai last night we focused on the words Jesus actually spoke which are recorded in the Bible. We know the Holy Spirit reveals to us the REALITY of Jesus’ Words because John 14:26 tells us “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to remembrance all things that I said to you.”

The Lord expects us to grasp His words with understanding and then implement them, or put them into action.

For example, Jesus said “you are worth more than many sparrows,” in Luke 12:6-7. Do we believe this fully in our hearts? Are we convinced of our own worth in Him? One of the most common lies I hear people voice is “I am unworthy” or “I am such a loser” or “I am a flop.” This means we are not yet fully convinced of our own worth. Jesus meant it. He never said anything He didn’t mean.

Our minds tell us to think one way. Holy Spirit interjects consistently the REALITY of the Father. Those lies come from old mind ruts which hold pain from past interactions in this fallen realm. Our minds must continuously be renewed by God’s Word which reveals the only true REALITY that He can provide. We can trust our transformed minds as they are fully informed by God!

Father God, help us to slow down today and abide in You. Let us grasp that we are rooted and planted deeply in Christ. We ask to receive all You desire to abundantly pour out into us, so that we may grow in intimacy and friendship with You and fulfill all You have written in our books. Help us carry Your love to a dying world, in Jesus mighty Name. Amen.

Shalom Shalom
