Peace and Contentment
Published on: January 4, 2023

How is your peace meter running today? How contented do you feel on a scale of 1-10?

We know Jesus gives us HIS peace so it is supernatural as we abide in His Presence. Webster’s defines peace as a state of tranquility or quiet; freedom from disturbance; freedom from oppressive thoughts or emotions; harmony. I can attest to this otherworldly peace. It is so beyond just a calm, restful or serene state. It is all of that but even more because it is His glory, His Presence and nothing can be compared to that. No hubbub. No hassle. No thoughts of any kind, negative or positive. Simply resting and knowing that everything is all right. We are IN HIM and we will all make it to the end of our races here. THE BEST IS YET TO COME AS WE OCCUPY HERE FOR HIS GLORY. Since THAT is reality, it is what I bring here to this realm.

Just take a few minutes and think about the absolute truth that He is with you right now. Honor Him and be grateful. These moments of heartfelt connection mean everything to God.

Contentment has to do with feeling delight, enjoyment, pleasure and/or satisfaction. As we continue to increase in our focus on Him our contentment increases. I was aware of this yesterday. Sometimes when I must do mundane chores or the business end of my job I feel impatient. Yet I know we do EVERYTHING unto Him and that sense of peace enveloped me. Houses don’t clean themselves. Someone has to do the ledger. Grocery shopping is a necessity. He likes doing everything with us!

When your flesh wants to act up just say, sit down. Everything is all right.

We are IN HIM. WE MAKE IT!
