Dr. Jane Goodall observed: “What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”
This is a great quote. And it’s true.
Because each one of us is significant it means there is a REASON we are here on earth at this particular time. In Acts 17:26 it says ,” God made from one (blood) all nations of men to settle on the face of the earth, having definitely determined (their) allotted periods of time and the fixed boundaries of their habitation.” Why? “So that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel after Him and find Him, although He is not far from each one of us.” Verse 27.
The period of time and place that God chose for us to be alive is very specific. It matters! We all matter! We are to have an influence over others around us. Jesus sees each one of us as important and meaningful. He took the time to form you in your mother’s womb and blow your spirit in there, connecting your soul and body. You are His creative miracle, poetry in motion.
Just for the fun of it, here are some synonyms for significant. “Big, consequential, earth-shattering, earthshaking, eventful, historic, major, material, momentous, monumental, tectonic, weighty. The enemy wants you to believe you are inconsequential, insignificant, minor, trivial and unimportant. God says absolutely not! Don’t let dead religious spirits tell you otherwise. You are moving into a new place in the spirit, seeing yourself the way God sees you.
I just got some new skin care products. I got a kick out of the one label that said “spray this on your face and say ‘I love myself and my skin.'” I started doing it! It’s a great idea!
How about today you pick the word “significant” or one of the amazing synonyms and look in the mirror and say “I am : significant; monumental; an earth shatterer; tectonic! (I like that one). I choose “tectonic” today.
